I bought 2 third party knockoffs in 2014 for $20, and they work decently, but basically I got what I paid for. I can understand too the prices being silly because of their high value, which births generic ones that sell for really cheap. And I love the Wii U Pro Controller and the Switch version looks pretty solid for my hands (note I haven't used it, I may be proven firsthand that it's better than GC, remains to be seen). And they made the right choice bringing it back when Smash 4 came out because that is still the best controller for those particular games. GC controllers are one of the best Nintendo's made, and I can understand them stringing it along, hell they've done it 10 times as much with NES/SNES controllers. I can understand adding your opinion on the matter in the discussion, but sliding it in on the official reporting is suspect to me.
